87th Williams Lake Bull Sale and Show

The show will get underway Thursday, April 18 at 1 p.m. The sale will get underway Friday, April 19 at 1 p.m. The event will feature approximately 40 Hereford, Angus and Gelbvieh bulls from across B.C.

ComeUNITY Event - Storytelling Making & Song with Gary Stieman, Rebecca Solomon & Amanda Wood

Friday April 19: Doors at 6 p.m. Storytelling and song. Featuring Gary Stieman (Tsilhqot’in Knowledge Keeper from Tl’esqox), Amanda Wood (Anishinaabeg / Nlaka’pamux) and more. By donation.

Doors at 9:30 a.m. Explore the way Indigenous Languages inform living, creating and thinkin. Featuring Rebecca Solomon (Tsilhqot’in - Yunesit’in Language Coordinator) and multi-disciplinary artist Amanda Wood (Graduate of the En’owkin Centre’s National Indigenous Professional Artist Training Program).

We close our learning day with ‘Listening Circles’, a restorative justice process that grounds our learning towards action. With facilitation by Awakenings Anti-Racism’s Margaret-Anne Enders and Gitxsan Knowledge Keeper Aubrey Jackson.

The 2nd annual Indoor Spring Classic Rodeo in Williams Lake is set to take place April 19, 20 and 21. The three-day rodeo will see a rodeo on Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and again on Saturday and Sunday starting at 1 p.m. each day. There will also be a barn dance Saturday night. Tickets available online.

Nishan Sahib, Vaisakhi flag-raising celebration at the Guru Nanak Sikh Temple from 4 p.m onwards, with free tea and snacks after.

Annual Spring Clothing & Garage Sale

In the lower level of the Seniors Activity Centre at 176 North Fourth Avenue from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. come and find gently used men’s and lady’s clothing along with many other garage sale items.

Scout Island Nature Centre. Annual yard and plant sale fundraiser event.

Sale runs 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come and shop for plants, books, sports equipment, and other assorted treasures.

Cariboo Chilcotin Youth Fiddle Society show A Fiddle Ticket to Canada at the Gibraltar Room May 4 at 7 p.m. and May 5 at 3 p.m., tickets are $25 for adults, $18 for youth and available at The Open Book and on Eventbrite.

May 8 & 9

Williams Lake Job Fair.

Coordinated by Supporting Aboriginal Growth & Empowerment (S.A.G.E) Trainers and sponsored by the Cariboo Chilcotin Aboriginal Training and Employmeny Centre (CCATEC), the two-day Williams Lake Job Fair will take place at Rink 2 Cariboo Memorial Complex.

The Horsefly 10km Fun Run takes place Saturday, May 11. Entry forms can be picked up and dropped off at Clarkes General Store in Horsefly and Remax in Williams Lake. Entries received before April 15 will included a T-shirt and your name put towards a prize draw. Registration on the day of the run is at 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Horsefly School rink, run starts at 11 a.m. from the Moffat Falls and will continue down the 108 Mile Road to the Horsefly rink. Quintet Plus will join up with Eclectica from 100 Mile for a Choir Concert on Wednesday, May 15 at 7 p.m. at St. Andrew’s United Church, 1000 Huckvale Pl. Come join us. Admission is by donation to the Cariboo Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
